We fix What NBN Won't

FAUCAB are ACMA accredited and specialise in the jobs NBN technicians refuse.

Internal Pathways

We can run all internal cabling pathways, ensuring the NBN tech can walk in, connect their equipment, and activate your service without delays. For most upgrades, this is the only preparation you’re expected to handle.

Lead-In Conduit

New builds or knockdown/rebuilds require you or your builder to provide a conduit to the boundary. During upgrades, NBN usually just buries the cable straight in the ground. We can install a proper, standards‑compliant lead‑in conduit if you want a cleaner, more durable solution.

Equipment Relocation

It’s never too late to fix a poor install. Whether it's an unsightly install, or the NBN tech placed your equipment in a spot that suited them rather than you, we can relocate it to a more suitable, functional location — even after everything is already connected.

Why NBN Refuses Jobs (And Why We Don’t)

It’s a common frustration — NBN calls it a free upgrade, yet you’re left footing the bill to finish their install. Think of it like other utilities: electricity and gas provide a tap-in to their service at the front of your house, and water will only be run to your property boundary. NBN actually goes further than most, but they still have limits on what they can do inside your property. It is also very important that you understand the upgrade itself is optional, and you can stay on your current setup if you prefer. There are multiple factors that could prevent NBN from installing your service.

  • 12m rule NBN technicians are advised that any location more than 12m from the PCD is considered a "custom installation".

  • External walls only NBN advises against technicians drilling through top or bottom plates on any structural wall, limiting the installation to perimeter walls.

  • Access limitations More a suggestion than a rule, NBN technicians are advised that they do not have to access underfloor or roof space, unless they can maintain a comfortable position at all times. NBN technicians are also not permitted on top of a roof under any circumstance.

  • Multi-storey rule In a multi storey home, NBN advises the internal equipment should be installed on the ground floor, on the same side of the home as the external equipment.

As Faulconbridge Cabling technicians are not bound by these limitations, we can work with the customer to achieve (almost) any installation.

Starlink Installation

For properties where NBN isn’t available or doesn’t meet the install criteria, Starlink is often the next best solution. We install and mount the dish, run the cabling neatly, and make sure everything is set up correctly for a reliable connection.
